Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Growing up in VA and only seeing my Grandmother (Laura Brue Brown, daughter of Bertil Bru) every other summer for a couple of weeks in Arriba, CO, I didn't learn anything of my Norwegian heritage. My daddy claimed not to know anything and grandma said there was nothing to know! But she always had these big, fat, white cookies. Not much taste but different from what I was accustomed too. When I met cousin Julia Brue Bonneville a few years ago, I asked about the cookies and she knew exactly what recipe I was looking for. Thanks, Julia! I have renamed them.
