1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs beaten
2 tsp. vanilla or 1 T. bourbon or both!
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 c. (or more) pecans, chopped
One unbaked pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
In a small bowl cream butter. Add eggs and flavoring. Add sugar and flour. Stir in chips and nuts. Pour into pie crust. Bake 40-50 minutes at 350° or until pie is set. Cool one hour and serve with whipped cream. (Use 2 tsp. vanilla and 1 tsp. bourbon for mild flavor).

This pie is traditionally served in Kentucky on Derby Day, the first Saturday in May.
