1/2 cup butter flavor Crisco (I use butter)
1 1/2 cups flour
2 eggs
2 tsps. baking powder
2 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 350º. Grease 13x9x2-inch pan with butter flavor Crisco.

Beat eggs until light and foamy in large bowl of electric mixer. Beat in sugar, vanilla and butter flavor Crisco until creamy.

Combine flour with baking powder and salt. Add to egg, mixture. Mix at low speed until blended. Stir in nuts at low speed. (Mixture will be stiff.)

Spread evenly in prepared pan. Bake at 350º for 25 to 30 minutes or until top is light brown. Cool 10 to 15 minutes. Cut into bars.

Makes two dozen.

You will not believe how good these little bar cookies are. They are moist and chewy.
