1/2 c. karo syrup
2 egg whites
Pinch salt
tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Boil sugar, water and syrup until hair-like strands form with lifting spoon (in cold water it will harden but not break). Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Slowly fold into the boiling mixture, beating constantly. Add salt and vanilla. Beat. When it loses its shine and become thicker, remove beaters and beat by hand until stiff enough to spoon onto wax paper. Let cool.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
From Stacey: I remember Grandma adding walnuts to this sometimes and other times it was a light pink color (bit of red food coloring). It isn't the holidays without Grandma's divinity!
