3/4 cup brown sugar (demerara)
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
3 tsp ginger
1 1/2 cups molasses (fancy deluxe)
3 tsp baking soda, dissolved in 1 1/2 cups boiling water
3/4 cup butter
3 well beaten eggs

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 inch pan. With mixer cream brown sugar, molasses and butter. Add and blend flour and ginger. Add and blend baking soda dissolved in boiling water. Add and blend beaten eggs last. Batter is runny, usual. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve with whipping cream, light dream whip, vanilla ice cream or with apple sauce.
