3 cups flour
1 1/4 cups shortening or lard
1 egg
1 tsp salt
5 1/2 tbsp water
1 tsp vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Blend together flour, salt, and shortening with pastry cutter or two knives until crumbly. Combine egg, water, and vinegar. Make a well in flour mixture and pour in liquid. Blend well. ready to roll out for pies.

Makes crust for 1 double crust pie and one single (i.e. one cherry and one pumpkin)
