Directions:
Remove core from cabbage
place whole head in large pot with boiling, salted water
cover and cook 3 minutes or until softened enough to pull off individual leaves
I peel a couple and return to boiling water, then get a few more
I boil long enough for the stem of the leaf to bend without breaking
you need about 18 good size leaves
cool leaves enough to handle
cop the remaining cabbage head in quarter and put in casserole dish or Dutch oven along with the garlic and onion
mix beef, pork, veal, rice and salt and pepper
roll mixture in to balls (about 1/2 cup each)

finish rolling the rest of the way to enclose meat ball
place cabbage balls on top of chopped cabbage
