2 c. white sugar
1 T. butter
1 c. corn syrup
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cream tartar
6 qts. popped corn

Cook first four ingredients to hard boil stage. Remove from the stove and add soda. Pour over popcorn and firm into balls.

I remember making this with my mother and burning my hands while we rolled them into balls. Larry loves popcorn balls made with marshmallow instead of the ones made with Karo syrup. It's easier to buy them @ Dahl's!
