Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 eggs beaten
1-1/2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons melted butter
1-1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 to 4-1/2 cup flour
4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Requires donut maker tool.

Heat pot of Mazola oil.
Mix ingredients together in a bowl you can use to pour into the donut maker.
Fill donut maker. When oil is hot, drop one round of dough into the oil. I used a pan that did 3 at a time. As soon as a bit of ingredients started oozing out of a round, quickly flip it over in the oil and fry until golden brown.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
When the word was out in the neighborhood that I was making doughnuts, the kids would come to the window and ask for a treat and then off to play while nibbling on a doughnut. The kitchen window was like the drive-through with kids waiting in line to get them as they cooled.

Variations included frosted with chocolate icing, dipped in granulated sugar, or dusted with confectioner's sugar. Even plain they are great!
