1 10lb. goose, cleaned
1 jar Currant Jelly (melted in small pot)
1 can Whole purple plums (opt.)
Salt, pepper, garlic powder
2 onions cut in half

Directions:
Directions:
Season goose well outside and in. Put two cut up onions in cavity. Rub goose with vegetable oil and add 1 cup water to the pan. Cook goose uncovered for approx. 1 1/2 to 2 hours. After cooking for 1 1/2 hours, begin glazing every five or ten minutes with melted currant jelly(usually 1/2 hr.) until goose is browned and beautiful! Let rest and carve. Decorate platter with purple plums.

Though one goose does not feed many people, it's still worth the effort. I do this mainly because my husband and brother-in-law love it! I buy a nice fat frozen goose at Rouse's.
