2 lbs flour
3 Tbsp baking power
1 Tbsp salt
1 lemon (juice and graded lemon rind)
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 lbs crisco
7 eggs
2 Tbsp vanilla
3 Tbsp strong coffee

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350

Combine flour, baking power and salt together. Set aside. Blend sugar and crisco together, add eggs one at a time, then lemon juice, rind, vanilla and coffee. Add flour mixture, mix well. Dough should be pliable enough to roll in hands. Pinch dough and twist to form different shapes; knots, bows, twists, etc. put on cookie sheet and bake until lightly brown.

Delicious dipped in milk or coffee

This recipe is from NaNa my dear Italian mother-in-law. This is a traditional Biscotti recipe, not like the hard Biscotti you find in the store. These are more like shortbread cookies except better. Delicious.

Very fun to make for the holidays as a family.
