Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Cream fat and sugar. Add unbeaten egg one at a time. Beat well after each addition. Add vanilla to milk. Alternate milk with flour mixture which has been sifted with salt, soda and cocoa. The alternating begins with flour and ends with flour, thus dividing milk in thirds and flour in fourth. Add boiling water all at once and stir until well combined.

Bake at 350 in three 8" layers or 9"x12" sheet cake pan. Sheet cake about 45 minutes. Layer cake about 30 minutes.

This is a large moist cake that will keep well.

This cake comes from my mother-in-law who was a wonderful cook. This cake is delicious and reminds me of NaNa and the fun we had cooking.
