1/2 lb. Bacon..high quality, chopped
2 oz. Smoked Ham, diced
1/2 lg. Spanish onion, dice small
6 cloves garlic, diced
1 shallot, diced
6 oz. sliced white mushrooms
14 oz. chicken stock
1 pint heavy cream
2 oz. flour
12 large, cleaned, peeled uncooked shrimp
#1 Box of linquine
5 oz. frozen peas
1/2 tsp. black pepper
1 envelope ham base
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
Salt to taste
2 tsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Render bacon slowly, leave in pan. Add shallots, onions and garlic, cook until soft. Add mushrooms, cook till soft. Remove ingredients from pan. Add flour to the fat in pan and make a roux. Put ingredients back in skillet. Add chicken stock and heavy cream. Cook sauce until thickened. Add seasonings (except salt). Add shrimp and cook until pink. Add peas and salt to taste, add butter to finish sauce. Serve over linguine, or your favorite pasta.
