2 15-oz. cans of crushed pineapple
2 15-oz. cans of apple or cherry pie filling
1 boxed yellow cake mix
1/4-1/3 cup of brown sugar (to taste)
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 stick of butter, melted
1/3 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

In a greased 9x13 casserole dish, layer the ingredients in the order they are listed, starting with the pineapple on bottom. After the cinnamon, pour the melted butter evenly over the top. Then top with your choice of chopped nuts, if desired.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50-55 minutes, until gold and bubbly. This dessert is best served with vanilla ice cream!
