2 cups molasses
1 cup corn syrup
3 tablespoons baking soda
3/4 cup boiling water
2 1/2 cups melted margarine or butter
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger
12 - 13 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Combine molasses, corn syrup, baking soda and boiling water. Stir until light and fluffy. Add melted margarine or butter and sugar. Mix and stir thoroughly. Add cinnamon and ginger.
Gradually add 12 to 13 cups flour while stirring. Roll out on floured board to approximately 1/4 or 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Story has it that Grandpa Russell made this entire recipe while Grandma Jean was at work. It makes about 10 dozen cookies, and Grandpa had cookies stacked everywhere around the kitchen at Dominick Drive. I usually make half the recipe for obvious reasons. Nahanni loves to make these cookies, as well as Grandpa!
