1/2 c. warm water
2 pkgs yeast
1 c. whole milk
1/2 c. cold water
1/2 c. sugar
2 tsp. salt
6 - 6 1/2 c. white flour
2 eggs
1/2 c. oil
Soft butter
Cinnamon, sugar, nuts (optional)
Butter cream frosting (powdered sugar, cream, butter and vanilla)

Dissolve the water and yeast and let stand 5 minutes. Scald the milk in a stainless mixing bowl.
Add water, sugar, salt and 3 cups of the flour. Add yeast water and mix well with electric mixer. Add eggs, oil and mix well. Add rest of flour and continue to mix until well blended. Let rise in a warm place for 2 hours. Shape into rolls by rolling out an 8 x 10 rectangle. Spread with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar and other goodies (nuts). Roll up and cut into 1 1/2 " slices. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with palm of hand. Let rise. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Frost lightly while still warm.
