Pie Crust

1 1/2 C all purpose flour 3/4 C cake flour
1/2 tsp salt 1 Tsp sugar
2 sticks butter cubed 3 Tsp vegetable shortening
1/4 C sour cream Little lemon juice

Metal mixing bowl and pastry cutter

Pie Filling

Dried Apricots, Apples, Peaches ( Granny always used Apricots.. Yummy)
Water

Can use sugar and cinnamon if you want

Directions:
Use a pastry cutter not hands to mix and keep as cool as possible. (Hands are 98º). Ball up and cover in plastic wrap in metal bowl. Set in refrigerator for one hour. Cut in half roll out between two pieces of parchment paper and cut in circles 1/8th inch thick- the size of a saucer. place in refrigerator. Roll out second pie crust in between two pieces of parchment paper cut into 1/8th inch thick-the size of a saucer. Place in refrigerator. Keep cool until ready for Granny's Fried Pie Filling..

Granny's Fried Pie Filling

Bring water and apricots (or other dried fruit) to a boil. Can add sugar and cinnamon if you desire. Cook down until fruit is spreadable. Spread fruit on one side of Granny's Pie Crust for Fried Pies. Fold pie crust over and pinch with fork. Fry pie in Vegetable oil on a medium heat until brown. Serve warm....
