1 1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. white sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
3 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 large bag of chocolate chips
nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Add shortening, white sugar, and brown sugar to mixing bowl and mix together until creamy. Add remaining ingredients mixing intermittently. Bake at 375º for 10 minutes.
