1 large crock pot
2-3 pounds pot roast
1 onion
oil
1 pound carrots
6 potatoes, peeled and chunked
frozen peas
frozen corn
1/2 cup flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cut up meat into large chunks and brown on all sides in hot oil. Put into crock pot, add coarsely chopped onion and enough water to almost cover meat. Cook on high heat for 4 hours. Add carrots. Cook another 2 hours and add potatoes and other vegetables. Cook another 2 hours. To make gravy, mix together flour with 2 cups hot water and pour into pot. Add Kitchen Bouquet to make a nice brown color. Stir until slightly thickened. Add more water if too thick. Continue to cook until ready to serve.

If you add all the vegetables all at once at the beginning with the meat, they become mushy. Also, if you don't sear the meat at the beginning, the meat falls apart and all you have is shredded beef for your stew.
