1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple in its own juice
1 c. sugar
1 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 c. flaked coconut
1 8 oz. container frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Directions:
Directions:
Bake cake according to package directions in a 9 X 13 pan. In the meantime, mix pineapple, juice and sugar; heat until sugar is dissolved. When cake is baked and still warm, poke holes over top with fork. Pour mixture over top; let cool at least an hour. Prepare pudding according to directions, stir in coconut. Spread over cake. Top with whipped topping and nuts.
Refrigerate.
