¾ c. shortening
2 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp.salt
½ tsp. cloves
¼ c. molasses
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 ¼ c. flour
1 tsp. ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, egg and molasses together. Add flour, baking soda, salt, cloves, cinnamon and ginger. Chill dough for 1-2 hours. Roll dough into small balls. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 12-13 minutes.
