3 sticks butter, 8oz. cream cheese, 3 C. sugar, 6 eggs, 3 C. flour, pinch salt (1/8 tsp), 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, 1 1/2 C. chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Grease & flour 10 inch tube pan & sprinkle with 3/4 C.nuts (optional). Blend softened butter & cream cheese. Add sugar and blend till creamy. Add eggs, one at a time & blend before adding the next. Add flour & salt; mix just till blended. Add vanilla & reserved pecans. Pour into preheated 325º oven for 1 1/2 hours. Cool 10 min.

Ms. Murdock gave me this recipe nearly 20 years ago. It is the best pound cake I have ever eaten. Love it!
