Steam:
1 1/2 pounds asparagus, cut diagonally into 1/2 inch thick slices
Transfer to a colander and rinse under cold water, drain.
Cook:
1 pound bow-tie pasta, drain, saving 1/2 cup pasta water
In a deep skillet heat:
3 Tbsp. butter
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 Tbsp. grated lemon zest
1/4 cup lemon juice
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 cup finely chopped parsley leaves.
Add pasta and asparagus to sauce, cooking over moderate heat. Add pasta water if needed.
Sprinkle pasta with Parmesan cheese.
