Cream together:
2 sticks butter or 1 stick butter and 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 eggs
Add:
2 1/4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. allspice
Pinch of nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
Add, and mix lightly, don't overmix:
1 1/4 cups canned solid pumpkin
3/4 cup buttermilk or sour milk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Stir in:
16 oz. chocolate chips
Can add nuts as well
Pour cake batter into a well-greased bundt pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cook the cake in the pan, on a rack for about 15 minutes, then invert cake onto rack. Cool completely before serving. Dust with powdered sugar, if desired.
