Ingredients:
Ingredients:
* 1 (4 pound) whole chicken (I use cut up chicken
pieces)
* 3/4 cup soy sauce
* 1/3 cup sesame oil
* 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
* 1 cup chicken stock
* 1/8 cup cornstarch
* 1/4 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix the Soy Sauce, sesame oil, and garlic powder. Put cut up chicken in a baking pan (I use a cake pan) skin side down. Pour Soy sauce mixture over all. Bake @ 375º for 30 minutes. Turn the chicken skin side up and return to oven for 30 minutes. Take chicken out of pan and add chicken stock to the pan drippings. Bring drippings to a boil over medium high heat. Mix the water and cornstarch together. When pan drippings are boiling pour in the cornstarch mixture and whisk until thickened and smooth. Serve gravy over cooked rice! Delicious!

Personal Notes:
The first time I made this recipe I was concerned that the gravy would be too salty but it was delicious! I like to serve this fast and easy meal with some steamed veggies and cooked rice. I think that the addition of some sliced green onions would be wonderful sprinkled over the gravy and chicken. I think that 1/2 teaspoon of powdered ginger would be good in the soy sauce mixture but I haven't tried that as yet. Maybe next time! LOL
