2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 Tbsp. vanilla
1 egg
1 egg yolk
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325º. Grease cookie sheet.
Sift together flour, soda, and salt, set aside.
Cream together butter & both sugars. Beat in vanilla, egg, and egg yolk until light & creamy. Mix in sifted ingredients until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips by hand or using a wooden spoon. Drop spoon size cookie dough on cookie sheet.
Bake 15-17 minutes or until the edges are lightly toasted.
