Blade roast with bone in
1 tsp. Pickling spices
1 clove garlic
1 bay leaf
2 lg. Onions, sliced
5 carrots, sliced
Celery, chopped
1 pepper, chopped
1 sm. Head cabbage
Potatoes, peeled
1 tsp. Sugar
dill
1 can tomato soup

Directions:
Directions:
Boil roast with bone in at a slow rolling boil, removing all scum. Add spices, garlic and bay leaf and simmer 2 hours. Add onions, carrots, celery and pepper and simmer for ½ hour more. Add potatoes (cut up), sugar, dill and tomato soup and simmer for 15 minutes.

Optional: 2 small beets may be added together with the onions if desired.
