1 1/4 c butter, unsalted
1 c brown sugar
1 c granulated white sugar
2 eggs
2 1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. cocoa, good quality
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 c. chocolate liquor
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c semi sweet chips

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350º. Line 4 cookie sheets with parchment paper. Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat until smooth. Add liquor and beat until incorporated Combine, flour, salt, baking soda and cocoa. Stir into first mixture just until incorporated. It should be a stiff batter. Add the chips and mix together. Drop by scant teaspoons well separated on the uncreated parchment paper sheets. Bake for 9 min. Cookies will be soft. do not overbake. Cool for awhile on the tray and then transfer to wire cooling racks.
