2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
2 cups butter
4 eggs
1 Tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 1/2 cups flour
4 1/2 to 6 cups oatmeal
12 oz chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugars. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Blend the rest of the ingredients, separately, then combine all. I sometimes have to knead the dough with my hands to get it combined. Put in blobs on greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350 for 9-10 minutes until the edges of the cookies are just barely starting to turn colors.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
A woman in my ward growing up made these cookies and gave our family the recipe. We all make them and they are the best.
