"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

Personal Notes:
This is a recipe of my dad's, Donald R. Westervelt. It was first published in 1950 in a recipe book called "Leon's Favorite Recipes," compiled by the Naomi Rebekah Lodge No. 566, Leon, Kansas. Dad and I made this cake together and I've made it myself. Of course, Spry is now Crisco
