Ingredients: 2 Tbsp. instant coffee granules 1 1/2 c. water 2 pkg (3.9 oz) instant devil’s food pudding mix 4 c. milk 1 pkg (8 oz) cream cheese, room temperature 24 lady fingers 3/4 c. semi sweet mini chocolate chips 1 carton whipped topping

Directions:Pour the coffee granules into a glass measured with the water. Microwave uncovered on high one minute. Let the coffee stand in microwave while proceeding with recipe.
Place the milk, pudding mix and cream cheese in large bowl. Mix on medium speed until well blended. Set aside.
Split the ladyfingers in half lengthwise. Place half of a package, cut side up, in the bottom of a trifle bowl. Drizzle 1/4 of the coffee mixture evenly over the ladyfingers. Spread about 1/4 of the pudding mixture over the ladyfingers. Spread 1/4 of the whipped topping over the pudding. Sprinkle 1/4 c. of the chocolate chips over the topping.
Repeat these layers three more times, ending with whipped topping. Sprinkle cocoa over the whipped topping to garnish. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 6 hours to let the flavor develop. |
