Butterscotch Brownies Recipe

1 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 c butter
1/4 c evaporated milk
1 tsp vanilla

Filling:
1 slightly beaten egg yolk (save egg white)
1/4 c evaporated milk
1 1/4 c brown sugar
1/2 chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Dough crust mixture:
Add flour and salt and work in the 1/2 cup butter. Add milk and vanilla. Spread into 9-inch greased pan. Bake in 400º oven 15 minutes until light brown.

Filling:
Mix filling ingredients and then fold in one slightly beaten egg white. Spread mixture over the baked dough crust. Reduce heat to 350º and bake 30 minutes or until nicely browned. Cut in squares while warm.
