1 cup margarine
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 cups sifted flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tbsp. baking soda
2 cups applesauce
1 cup chopped nuts
1 cup raisins

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together margarine and sugar, adding eggs and vanilla. Mix sifted flour and spices together and blend into creamed mixture. Mix well. In a separate bowl, mix the applesauce with the baking soda; add to batter and blend well. Add nuts and raisins. Pour into paper-lined muffin cups. Bake at 400º for 15-20 minutes.

Batter keeps well in the refrigerator for up to 6 weeks. Muffins freeze well.
