White batter:
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 egg, beaten
1/3 C. sugar
6 oz. chocolate chips

Brown batter:
2 ¼ C. flour
1 ½ C. sugar
½ tsp. salt
6 TBSP. cocoa
1 ½ tsp. baking soda
1 ½ C. water
½ C. vegetable oil
1 ½ TBSP. vinegar
1 ½ tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Beat cream cheese, egg and sugar for white batter, and blend in chocolate chips.
Combine ingredients for brown batter. Put a gravy ladle of brown batter in muffin cups. Put about 1 rounded tsp. of white batter on top. Bake at 350 degrees until test done. Be careful not to overbake.
Frost with chocolate icing. Makes about 2- 2 ½ dozen.
