Notes: Yummy ham, pickle and cream cheese roll ups for an appetizer or a party! Secure the roll ups with toothpicks, and cut them into bite size pieces.
These have shown up on Hanson Family appetizer buffet tables for at least 30 years. I have no idea where I first had them but I do know that we made them for Kathleen and my wedding reception and countless other events! I have done things like make a double batch and make half with sweet pickles. I have added a bit of horseradish to the cream cheese and I have used flavored cream cheese. I also regularly use sliced summer sausage! that's my favorite!
This recipe is easy enough that young children may help. I remember Derek, Andrew, Sarah, and Jamie all having such a sense of accomplishment after "helping" with these. When the kids help they might not be as pretty but they always taste better!
