2 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
1 c. water
2 c. un-roasted peanuts
1/4 tsp. salt
1 t butter
1/4 tsp. soda

Directions:
Directions:
Combine sugar, corn syrup and water. Cook slowly, stirring until sugar dissolves. Cook to soft ball stage (238º). Add peanuts and salt. Cook to hard crack stage (290º), stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add butter and soda, stirring slightly. Pour evenly into well greased pans. Cool partially by lifting around edges with knife; when firm, turn entire slab. When cold, break into pieces.
Yields: 2-3 dozen pieces
