2 c flour
2 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp soda
¾ tsp salt
¼ c shortening
about 1 cup buttermilk –may not need that much
(can place 2 tbsp vinegar in cup, then add milk and let sit for a few minutes)

Directions:

Heat oven to 475º
Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut in shortening- I use a food processor
Stir in buttermilk with a fork until a soft dough forms.
Knead and roll out on lightly floured wax paper.
Handle as little as possible.
Cut straight down with biscuit cutter.
Bake about 10 minutes

I use my food processor, making certain to not over process, especially when pouring in the liquid.
Made the day we installed the heat pumps for the addition.
