I/4 c. olive oil
1 T. butter
1 c. flour
2-1/2 cups water
1/4 c. chopped mushrooms
1/4 c.diced onions
Salt and black pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Pour oil into a 10" saucepan, Allow oil to get hot. Add flour to oil. Stirring regularly, allow flour to get brown. Add water slowly Stir mixture until flour is smooth. Add salt,pepper, onions and mushrooms to flour mixture. Turn heat down to simmering, Allow to cook to desired tenderness.
*Note* a combination of bacon oil, fried chicken oil and fried pork chop oil is great for this receipe.

Excellent homemade gravy. Taste delicious with rice or mashed potatoes and can be used to pour over meatloaf. This gravy is good to cook smoothered chicken.
