1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cream or tartar
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 375º. Combine butter, powdered sugar, and 1/2 c. granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Add egg and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Reduce speed to low; add flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Beat until dough forms a ball. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place 2" apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten each ball to about 1/2" using the bottom of a glass (sprayed with Pam that has been place in granulate sugar). Bake for 7-9 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Let stand 1 minutes; remove from cookie sheet.
