1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. water
1 T. butter (no substitutes)
1 egg
1 T. flour
1 t. dry mustard

Directions:
Directions:
1. Bring sugar, vinegar, water, butter, salt and
pepper (to taste) to boil, then cool.
2. Beat together egg, flour and dry mustard. Mix
with just enough water to keep from lumping.
3. Add to cooled vinegar mixture -- cook until
thick. May thin if necessary with milk or
buttermilk. (Can use up to 1/2 cup of either).
