1 pkg. cake mix (Duncan Hines Yellow)
4 lg. eggs
1/3 c. oil
1/3 c. water
2 c. chunky applesauce -- Do not us regular
applesauce -- Musselmans makes a very
good chunky sauce
1/2 c. raisins -- optional
1/2 c. nuts -- chopped -- walnuts or pecans

CINNAMON TOPPING:
2 T. cinnamon -- ground
4 T. sugar -- mixed with cinnamon in bowl

1. Liberally grease bundt pan with solid shortening.
2. Pour half of cinnamon mixture into bundt pan
and tilt pan so that all surfaces will be covered.
Return excess to bowl by tapping sides and
bottom. Set aside.
3. In large mixing bowl, lightly beat eggs, oil and
water. Add applesauce by folding it in.
4. Stir in cake mix. DO NOT MIX ACCORDING TO
PACKAGE DIRECTIONS OR CAKE WILL
CRUMBLE.
5. Mix just long enough to incorporate and then
beat by hand (not mixer) for 1 minute. Add nuts
and raisins (if desired) and stir in.
6. Pour 1/2 batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle
remaining cinnamon mixture over batter. Cover
with remaining batter.
7. With knife, cut thru batter, being careful to
avoid bottom and sides of pan.
8. Bake 1 hour in 350º oven or until toothpick
inserted in center comes out clean.
9. Loosen sides and turn out on greased cooling
rack with cinnamon topping on top.

A wonderful dessert for a special occasion. Much like a pound cake. Does not need frosting, sprinkle with powdered sugar, when cooled, if desired.
