Ingredients:  
2 cups flour
2 cubes butter (1 cup), softened
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp salt
Beat well in mixer, spread in a 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
 
While that is cooking prepare top part:
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
4 Tbls lemon juice and grated lemon rind*
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and pour on top of prepared crust.  Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.  DO NOT OVER BAKE!  Cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar for decoration.

*Real lemons make this even better and I usually put more than it calls for of fresh lemon juice.  Also, the do not over bake part is true. They are so much better just barley done--yum!
