2 cups white sugar
1.5 sticks melted butter (if using unsalted, add 1/2 tsp salt)
3 eggs
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup unbleached white flour
1 tsp Kahlua liqueur (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 and butter a 9x9 inch baking dish. In a large bowl, combine sugar, and melted butter. Whisk in eggs, one at a time and stir in cocoa, flour and liqueur. Do not overmix. Pour batter into pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes or until brownies are just set. Let cool before serving.
