1/2 cup cold shortening
2 cups unbleached white flour
1 T. white sugar
1 T. baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 heaping T. Dry Ranch Dressing Mix

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425º. Mix together flour, sugar, dry ranch dressing and baking powder. Cut cold shortening into flour mixture until well incorporated. Add milk and depending on consistency, add additional flour or milk to make a very tacky batter. Turn batter out onto floured surface and roll dough into 1 inch thick disk. Cut with knife or biscuit cutter. Place on baking sheet which has been sprayed with cooking spray and brush top of biscuits with melted butter and if you wish, a pinch of dressing powder on each biscuit. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
