Brown sliced onions in olive oil with a little salt. Cook until golden brown and soft. Cool them. Put aside a little onion for the top of the dish when it is complete. Broil chicken livers on a pan lined with foil until cooked almost through but not hard. Use the same pan to grind the ingredients onto. Use the smallest grinder blade. Grind the liver, egg, then onion and repeat alternating ingredients. Salt and pepper to taste. Place in mold covered with plastic wrap and chill.
