1 1/2 pounds fresh green beans (blue lake skinny)
3 slices of bacon
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp bacon drippings
1 small onion sliced
2 tsp Cornstarch
1/4 cup water

Directions:
Directions:
Snap off ends of green beans. and snap in half. Cook in 1 cup boiling water in sauce pan until just barely tender. Drain, and reserve1/4 cup of liquid. Cook bacon in skillet until lightly browned. Reserve 2 Tbsp of drippings. Drain bacon on paper towels & crumble. Add sugar, salt, lemon juice, onion rings and 1/4 cup reserved liquid to bacon drippings in skillet. disolve cornstarch in cold water and stir in skillet. Cook stirring constantly until thick and clear. Simmer 1 min. Add beans and heat thoroughly. Sprinkle with bacon just before serving.
