Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 med onion
1 cup walnuts, pecans or almonds
1 cup rolled oats
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 teaspoon chili powder
salt and pepper
1 egg
2 tablespoon olive oil

Directions:
Directions:
Grind the onion in a food processor. Add the nuts and oats and pulse to chop but not too fine. Add the ketchup, chili powder, salt, pepper and egg. Process briefly. If you need to add any liquid do so at this time (water, wine, stock, whatever is handy) you want the mixture moist but not loose.
Let the mixture rest a little while. Shape into patties. Put the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. When the oil is hot add the burgers. Cook about 5 minutes, then turn. Cook on the other side about 3 minutes, or until firm. Serve with all the traditional burger fixings.
