12 green peppers
12 red peppers
12 small onions
3 c. vinegar..I usually use white but any other
would work just as well.
2 c. sugar
3 T. salt

Directions:

1. Finely chop (or grind--preferred) peppers &
onions. Put all in a large colander and pour
boiling water over and drain.
2. Put all of above in large kettle, bring to boil and
cook 10 or 15 minutes.
3. Keep refrigerated - last up to 1 year.

Prep work takes the longest. Thereafter about 20 min.

This relish is especially good on hot dogs, hamburgers, all poultry and almost any kind of meat.

This recipe has been passed down from Jennie O'Kane Whatley and is at least between 125-150 years old.

This makes wonderful hostess gifts or on any occasion when a friendly gesture is appropriate.
