4 bacon slices, chopped
1 sm. onion, chopped
5 med. potatoes, cubed
3/4 celery stalk, diced
3 cans minced clams with liquor
1 garlic clove
1 t. white pepper
1 t. Worcestershire sauce
4 drops tabasco
2 c. half and half
3 T. diluted cornstarch
2 c. bottled clam juice.

In lg. kettle saute bacon until crisp; add onions, potatoes, celery and garlic. Add clam juice and season with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and tabasco. Cover kettle and simmer for 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Add clams, pour in half and half and add diluted cornstarch. Heat but do not boil.
