2 lb. ground beef (needs to have some fat in it)
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup bread crumbs

1tsp dried parsley

2 eggs
salt and pepper
garlic salt

Mix bread crumbs with milk. Add cheese , eggs , parsley, and basil. Stir and add garlic salt and pepper and salt to your taste. Add hamburger and (using clean hands) mix it all together . Form into elongated patties and place on a large baking sheet with sides ( needs to catch drips)( I use a jelly roll pan) Bake for about 45 minutes at 375 or till well done.

Put cooked patties into the pot of sauce ( recipe part 2)
Scrape pan of drippings and add to sauce too.
